To maintain a secure connection to the school network, all computers must have up-to-date antivirus/malware protection and the latest operating system patches installed.
Many new computers include trial versions of security software that may expire during the school year. Please ensure your device has a full, active subscription to remain protected. Any device found to be infected with a virus or malicious program will be temporarily removed from the network. Access will be restored once the device has been fully cleaned and verified as virus-free.
To protect personal devices and our community, the ITS Department recommends a minimum 1-year subscription for the following:
- For macOS: Sophos Home Premium for Mac
- For Windows: Sophos Home for PC
*ITS bases these recommendations upon current research of anti-malware products and professional reviews. No anti-virus/anti-malware product is perfect; as such, ITS makes no guarantee, implicit or explicit, that the anti-malware program recommended will protect against all malicious activity.MacOS
